Calliope – Goddess of Epic Poetry
Her name meaning “beautiful-voiced”, Calliope was the oldest and the wisest of the muses. It was thought that she inspired Homer to write the Odyssey and the Illiad. She was known for her eloquence and was often depicted as holding a writing tablet and stylus, with a golden crown upon her head.
